What is Shilajit and what are its benefits ?

Shilajit is a dark sticky natural tar-like substance extracted from the Himalayan mountains. It is formed over hundreds of years as decaying plants are gradually transformed due to microbial action with tremendous pressure from the weight of the Himalaya. After extraction and purification of these mountainous rocks, we get a dense, mineral-rich substance called Shilajit.

How to consume Shilajit ?

  • Consume 300-500 mg or roughly a pea sized portion or as directed by the physician.

  • Take shilajit once a day only, preferably in the morning.

  • Avoid taking before you sleep, as it might keep you very alert.

HOW TO TAKE IT ?

  1. Ideally, take a pea-size portion (350-500 mg). Shilajit resin can be taken using a spoon, while shilajit solid can made into small pea-sized balls

  2. Mix with warm water or milk. Stir it well and drink it.

  3. If you are taking shilajit solid, you can cut a small piece (size of pea) and put it in mouth. You can also mix that in warm water, milk, tea, coffee or any beverage of your choice.
